A year after, they still haven’t surfaced. Yet students keep on disappearing.

Around 2 weeks ago there was a black, heavily tinted vehicle roving around CMC. Mukhang may balak na namang i-abduct.

And yes… DOWN WITH THE HUMAN SECURITY ACT!

There’s this small exhibit it the Faculty Center in UP, about the Human Security Act.

It’s a mirror, with the word “terrorist” painted on it.

The government has implemented the RA 9372 also known as Human Security Act. Sexy Mom, I expect that there will be more mothers, fathers, and young people like you Jigs and many Pinoy or Pinays who will experience a possible long brownout by arbitrary use of state machinery. I am also expecting that blogs and bloggers expressing views different or against the authorities can be included as conspirator (Sec 4) and be put into surveillance under Section 7 - The Warrant of Surveillance for purposes of investigating those already charged or suspected. Government can use any suitable ways and means to tap or intercept any communication by someone who is only suspected of having conspired to commit terrorism. No more due process, no more guarantee of privacy if the government thinks someone has decided to violate the law. The most unconstitutional portion appears in Sec 18 which authorizes detention without judicial warrant of arrest No more Bill of Rights. All these and many more with RA 9372 is the most feared brownout I could see coming to any Filipinos sooner or later. Government can unleash terror to its citizens it wants to protect from the enemies it wishes to save them from. What is your take on this rhodora?

Oh God, I don’t know how to take such ‘brownout’.

But I agree with SexyMom. A mother’s heart may be a soft spot, but in times like this, a mother’s heart has to be tough, to keep on fighting, searching, hoping.

I really like your metaphor for this post. It’s really thought provoking. I think my heart would break if such a “brownout” would occur in my life. Family is first priority in my book and I do not wish such a brownout to happen to any one else.

that will then be the most hated brownout to happen. imagine, when a son or a daughter gets hurt, a mother’s heart gets hhurt, when somebody does wrong to a son or daughter, a mother would like to retaliate back, what more with this kind of loss? a mother’s heart is crushed, a mother’s heart bleeds to no end, a mother’s heart would like to die, but knows it has to fight, but you know what? a mother’s heart never stops hoping, a mother’s heart continues to pray, a mother’s heart continues to search. yes, myepinOy, mother’s a mother’s heart may be a soft spot, but in times like this, a mother’s heart has to be tough!
