This e-mail reached me last Monday afternoon. The timing was so perfect that it helped me smile after a very challenging day at work.
I am sharing this to you hoping that this will, in any way, lighten up your day, TODAY.
Everything that is going wrong in your life today shall be well with you this year. You have been destined to make it and you shall surely achieve all your goals this year. For the remaining months days of this year (2007), all your agonies will be diverted and victory and prosperity will be incoming in abundance. Today God has confirmed the end of your sufferings, sorrows, and pains because HE that sits on the throne has remembered you.
He has taken away the hardships and given you JOY. He will never let you down.
I knocked at heaven’s door this morning, God asked me… “My child! What can I do for you?” And I said, “Father, please protect and bless the person reading this message.”
God smiled and answered…. “Request granted.“
If you believe this message, send it to seven persons and the one who sent it to you. By doing this you have succeeded in praying for many people today .
If you do not forward, the prayer will stop.

Kind words do not cost much. Yet they accomplish much.
Words differently arranged have a different meaning, and meanings differently arranged have different effects.

Few days ago,
After a long and exciting chat with my friend — may the force be with you, I went to bed, wrapped myself up with a comforter — it is now cold here and I am alone, closed my eyes, (is there anybody sleeping with eyes wide open? ha ha ha), and hoped that I would fall into a blissful sleep.
Hours passed, and still, I was awake.
Then,
The shoes must fit

The only thing that makes life possible is permanent, intolerable uncertainty; not knowing what comes next. – Ursula K. LeGuin
I remember the time when everything was going well (financially) with my family. My father’s business was flourishing and the cash money was pouring in like heavy rain. (Checks or other modes of payment other than cash are rarely used at that time so you could just imagine how much cash my father had to keep.)
Those days, life for us was so easy. Money was just like a piece of paper that we kids can just stash away from the unlocked cabinets where my father kept them before distribution to the banks, to his staff and etc. My father did no mind at all. He would only say, use or spend your money wisely or share with your classmates.
Every time magkakaroon occasion, special or not, my father had this habit of bringing us to his favorite shoe store to shop for new shoes. We would try everything until we find the shoes that fit well. In case nothing fits, the storeowner would always say, “Pare, I will have it made.” True enough, it is delivered on time and fits really well.
I had no inkling that the kind of life we live at that time was called affluence by Pinoy standard. I did not even feel that our condition was special because my parents never let us feel that “we are above everyone else”. All I know as a kid was, life is like that, and the shoes must always fit and if we do not want to use them, these shoes must go to other kids. I had no idea either who those kids were or where they were except my parents.
