DIY:Pinoy Big Brother yourself

Some people wonder how and what is it like to be inside the house of Kuya (Pinoy Big Brother). I know, this is some kind of a question simply because everyone can see almost everything on the net and of course, the edited version shown on T.V. that confuses my little brain. There seems to be no continuity as the show introduces a lot of segments at random (cut and paste it everywhere baby), meron pang flashbacks, squeezed everything in one episode and there you have it, the show for the day. At the end I wonder what is what and which is which (tama ba ito?). Parang nagbabasa ka ng isang chapter sa isang book then noong nasa gitna ka na, the next thing you will read are series of chapters inside the one you are reading. (Magulo ba ang sinasabi ko dito?)

Perhaps, this is the only way (confuse you like most politicians and government officials do) they can show that there is something exciting going on inside considering that the most frequent activities that the housemates do inside are conversing to each other endlessly. The reason for this, I guess, is that many of the housemates learned the tricks on how to play it safe from the previous season.

Come to think of it, we are also seeing and hearing these endless conversations and useless talks from our polluteitical leaders and EcoNOnomic managers everyday. And most of us, like the 24/7 subscribers of the PBB show have to pay to watch them tear our lives apart.

Ah, I know you are now lost with this post. Yes, you are! This post is like the Pinoy Big Brother show and a part of our lives as Pinoys, magulo.

Honestly, this post is actually about broadcasting yourself over the net 24/7 or doing a Big Brother like show for yourself – in case you are one of those “some people” who wonder how or what is it like to be inside the house of Kuya.

Why would I do that and how would I do it?

I will not answer the question of why would you do it because there are a million reasons that each one of you can think of, to do or not do it, depends entirely on you.

This leaves me to the next question, the real thing that this post is all about, how would you do it?

Well, because of money, I mean technology, this complicated and expensive thing before are much simpler and actually free nowadays. Almost everyone can do it easily using the same resources for chatting over the net. Of course you already know what they are; pc or laptop, web cam and Internet connection, right?

If you have these resources, you can start immediately. The first thing you need to do is go (do not leave your computer, use your browser) and visit’s MyCam Page, read, and do what they specifically told you to do: Create your webcam page, activate your account, follow the instructions on how to set up your video cam. In few minutes you’ll have your own live broadcast that everyone in the whole wide world can see and access anytime, anywhere. That is it.

Now, please do not ask me what you will do with your live video broadcast or where to put or what to show on your camera. The possibilities are endless. You can broadcast yourself like what they do in Pinoy Big Brother show, show your business or your place, watch your house or room (ghost might be roaming around when you are out), watch your staff, watch you children, your baby, your husband or wife (pray that no one is playing with your husband or wife while you are away. lol) or whatever.

This post is done. Do you want to see mine? Yes, myepinoy has cam.

Just a reminder, make sure you are connected and your cam is on.

Oh sorry, let me contradict myself (as always). There is actually continuity in PBB show. Yes, there is, especially during the eviction night when the last 30-minute chance is given to viewers to shed some more money by texting their votes to the station for the housemates they’d like to keep inside the house. (If we can only do this with our politicians every month, it would have been fantastic.)

having a webcam 24/7 is something that most families with an ofw member do. especially if you have children being left behind. at least kahit sa camera lang makikita mo how they spend there day kahit ung cases lang na nasa bahay sila. right?

    yes, you are right.

So, have tried this one already. Your husband would love this. Just keep it open so your husband can access it, kahit sa office kung allowed. lol

Yong sa akin, itinutok ko sa TV for two days para ma test and okay sya. medyo malabo lang kasi yong very old web cam ang ginamit ko. Yong makikita mo dyan ay yong last frame ng live broadcast noong saturday.

ALl edited na yan promise. Alam ko may housemate na lumabas… voluntary exit. And regarding at yan sa hindi pagiging real reality show ng PBB celebrity edition. Which is totoo naman. If they can show eevrything on TV live and no cut yun ung totoo. E kaso andaming cut. YOu need to pay pa ata for you to watch live on line. Puro nalang pagkakakitaan ang alam nila. Hay… Wala ng magandang palabas.

Millet.. si sweetie to eto ung isang blog ko … hihihi..

i am sorry, my epinoy, but i am not a fan of PBB. i can’t find sense in everything they do there. i mean what would the viewers benefit from that show?

Extreme Voyeurism is such a modern day phenomena that such show as PBB is big with the audience. It’s a phenomenon I am sure and it’s ahrd to explain sometimes.

The “reality” part of these webcams is what Pinoy BB is trying to sell on TV which in my opinion will be boring if not designed properly. The producers must ensure that the scenes could elicit interest on the part of the viewing public. Who would be interested in seeing people move around the house if they aren’t naked? 🙂
