I see someone

Looking through the shadow
I see someone who could only be
Swaying fast, going slow,
As the sun dances
Exacting pleasure in every glow.

Night takes over
Across the lane where shadow was
The color of the night tangles with light
From blue to gray then black.
Without the sun, the moon, the stars to keep the light
The shadow wilts.
It blends with the night,
It must.

Day comes
As it has always been
On cue at certain time,
Glorious morning brings forth the light.
Swaying fast, going slow,
Across the lane where shadow lives,
I see someone who could only be

    beautiful poetry, myepinoy,
a feast to the senses–movements, hues, feelings
    while at play with nature
    poetry that is musical, lyrical
    oh yes–magical
when you see your outer “me”
that is your shadow from a short distance
at a certain time of day
inevitably blending with the colors of night
    and fade away
    then back again
as expected the very next day

No doubt it could only be You
Though it could also be Me
    Also looking through the shadows

Bravo! It’s a classic and it’s an achievement; I’ve never seen a very good poetry for a long long time till this one…

Nice poem, Rolly! Maybe you should have a poetry blog?

I’ve never been good in writing poems. The best one I can write is a haiku. 🙂

Hope all is well there in the Kingdom.
